I am also having this issue. I have upgraded Sharepoint 2001 to SP3, I installed the client content pack, as stated in the readme in the source. I also found the file in the source code archive, but I cannot find where to save it so that it is seen as "existing"

I am having the same issue. I tried several things I thought may help but they didn't:
  1. run install at the console (not terminal services window as I first did)
  2. run it as a domain admin
  3. unregister/register the MS installer (msiexec /unreg and msiexec /regserver)
  4. using filemon, determined that the failure occurs when trying to write to the assembly directory with this error:
    msiexec.exe CREATE c:\winnt\assembly\tmp\QBJPV18E\Sharepoint.ImportExport.Core.dll NAME COLLISION
At this point I am not sure what to try next, I am not a developer and don't work with any so I don't know how to recompile the project locally as it was suggested in some discussion.

If any of you have any feedback that would be appreciated.

thanks
Jose
